A model hotel
If this morning's hotel wasn't quite your thing, how about this one? This is a snap shot from The Exchange hotel in Amsterdam. where each room is designed by a student from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. Talk about staying in style!
Surround yourself with beautiful pieces
Morning and happy 'lilla lördag' (little saturday) as it's known in Sweden as everyone should go out and have a mid-week drink. Not for me unfortunately, so instead I am mentally transporting myself to one of three apartment suites in the Azzedeine Alaia hotel in Paris....

The rooms, designed by Yatzer, have carefully selected the furniture and lighting and kept everything else minimal so that you can enjoy its beauty and your stay. Oh and I would Yatzer, I would. It also supposedly leaves room for the guests own creativity. What do you think? Something for the weekend? Or to stark for your tastes? Read more about it here.

Santa Claus is coming to town
Yesterday I brought out the Santa painting my Mother made and arranged it with some ornaments. And when my 6-year old came home from school... He added his own touch. And I love it.

Wonderful Copenhagen
I am in beautiful Copenhagen this afternoon looking for a cool home for a press shoot. I love the Danish capital, it's so relaxed with a lovely bohemian feel. I might just stay all afternoon....

A Swedish apartment in monochrome
A little morning monochrome to share with you today! This Stockholm nugget of an apartment (I say 'nugget' as it's 45 metres square!) is light, white and completely clutter-free. There is no way I could have so few things around me, no matter how hard I tried, but it does look rather lovely....

PS I especially love the calendar, which you could make at home perhaps, using computer print outs stuck to the wall with oh-so-now masking tape. Or any other tips?
Kram!

Hej hej! A hairy reminder that there's only a few days left of the month formerly known as 'November' where cool men (Mo bros) sprout moustaches around the world for 30 days to raise money and awareness for men's health issues such as prostate cancer. Find out more at Movember!

Photographer's studio in a plough factory
So it's Monday. And hopefully not to manic?! This morning I spied this beautiful studio belonging to creative couple Rob & Jill Brinson, which they've converted from an old plough factory, I had to share it with you as I think it's a wonderful space, so light and airy.
All pictures: Via Design Sponge I particularly love the brick wall gallery and the office. I'm not sure I could have my bed in the middle of the room though as I have enough problems with my pillows as it is! I'd love to hear your thoughts. For more pics and the complete interview click here. Back shortly with a fun DIY project for the wall....Oooooo! |

Have a lovely weekend!
And just to make sure you have plenty of inspiration for all your weekend projects, I came across these pictures which I was desperate to share with you from Affari, simply stunning!
Penthouse apartment in Stockholm, yes please!
Happy Friday! And Oj oj oj, look at this beautiful Stockholm apartment. I love it because it has everything I love in a city home - wooden beams, a fireplace, concrete stairs, white walls and a wonderful roof top view. 'Underbara!'. And the good news? It's actually for sale through Fantastic Frank. Oh yeees. Mr Frank You've made my Friday, you really are fantastic!
Around the table I spy the Urban chair in white from IKEA. But where is the wonderful cluster light from? Any ideas? |
Beautiful, white concrete stairs. Tick! |
Fab two toned colour scheme :) and just look at that shiny gold lamp. Tick tick tick! |

In need of a project this evening? I thought I'd share this lovely Christmas advent calendar from Norwegian blog Design Hund. Such a great DIY project and so pretty that you almost wouldn't want your children / man / nan / pet cat to open the pressies each day?!
I see Stylizimo has also posted a great home made advent calendar if you're looking for more inspiration this evening, click here. Have a lovely night and if you do make your own advent calendar we'd love to see it! Vi ses imorgon / see you tomorrow! Kram!

Christmas decorations, Danish style.
So, four weeks until Christmas eve (that's the important date here in Scandinavia). It's time to get working on beautiful Christmas decorations around the home. Today's inspiration comes from Johanne Bildsoe who owns interior shop Details91 in Copenhagen. So many pretty ideas....
What do you think? Anything for your home? If you'd like to see more pictures click here. Or visit Johanne's online shop, Details91 where you can buy many of these things (dangerous!). Note, the shop is in Danish only so it could be time to get the dictionary out....

Danish clothes designer's home at Christmas
Oooo, what a lovely way to start the day by looking at the home of Danish clothes designer Kathrin Hviid from Bo Bedre. I love all the colourful Christmas decorations against the white backdrop.
This Christmas tree is standing in a pot from Fil de Fer |
I love the Papillon lamp over the kitchen table which is from Design by Us |
Off for my obligatory morning latté but back in a bit with a little more Danish Christmas inspiration! So pop back and see me!
